Ali Brahma visits his homeland for the first time in order to attend his father's funeral. This first trip to Morocco coincides with the trial of serial rapist and police commissioner Mohamed Mustapha Tabet. On the flight back to Paris, Ali meets Zakia Malik. Together, they look into the Tabet trial to write a play and a film script.

Salim, a reporter, is having trouble with his wife Nadia. They have lost their passion for each other, and Nadia falls in love with Miloud, Salim's driver. Miloud then murders his boss.

A young woman in her thirties arrives in a sort of military prison with the aim of freeing her parents. She is accompanied by a glass blower, who, by imposing repetitive and tiring work on her, seeks to make her understand the impossibility of her quest.
