Biography
Michael Burke is an American film director. He was selected for both the Sundance Institute Writer’s and Filmmaker’s Lab 2000. His debut feature film, The Mudge Boy, premiered at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. Since then, he has developed projects for Sarah Jessica Parker's Pretty Matches Productions, wrote the screenplay for Adam (2020), and served as a consultant to Amy Schumer on Life & Beth (2022). In 2008, he joined NYU as an Associate Arts Professor, and holds the position of Associate Dean of the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television. From 2010 to 2015, he served as Chair of the Grad Film program at Tisch Asia, and was the Associate Dean of Tisch Asia from 2013 to 2015.
