Arşak Karakaş

The story of a young girl forced to marry an old Aga. Directed by Fuat Uzkinay and Sigmund Weinberg, it was the third film in Turkish history and had to be postponed until the end of WWI in 1918.

Story of a poor fishmonger family consisting of a mother, a handmaid, and two sons. One of the sons (Talat) is involved in tobacco smuggling as a result of the incitement of his fishmonger friends in order to overcome the poverty and the other son becomes a watchman to struggle against smugglers; one day two sons face off against each other. A part-talkie film.
