Neringa Rekasiute

When her estranged father dies suddenly, artistic director Egle begins to hear voices who prophesy her father’s return. Fearing for her life, Egle solicits the help of an actress friend from the theatre, and through role-play and ritual they are drawn deeper and deeper into the torments of Egle’s past.

The performance is a call for action in support of the Ukrainian people facing Russia’s ongoing war and violence. Performed by Lithuanian Olympian Rūta Meilutytė, swimming through blood-red water in front of the Russian Embassy in Vilnius, the work becomes a powerful symbol of resistance, solidarity, and the urgent need to not remain neutral.
