Biography
João Pedro Tinoco is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema and works with Production, Screenwriting and Assistance Direction. He's Graduated at UFRJ in Advertising and post-graduated in Audiovisual. After years at Globo, in 2023 he directed short films for the Brazilian Cinematography Association and was called in as Production Assistant by Conspiração Filmes for the film “I’m Still Here” by Oscar-nominated director Walter Salles, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2024. He was the director of three short films, in particular 'Amor', which premiered in NY, toured 4 continents in festivals and was distributed in the Rio de Janeiro movie theaters. He’s also produced commercials for brands such as L'Oréal and shot images for Record TV's casting producers. In 2023, he founded a Production Company called Visaggio Films, with which he helps to produce independent audiovisual projects, from fundraising to distribution. His first feature screenplay “Memorizing Agatha” was awarded by the Marieta Project for Development for screenplays with great potential.
