Biography
Jazmin (23 years old) is a New Mexico filmmaker best known for the short film You're My Best Friend (2023). You're My Best Friend premiered at the 15th annual Santa Fe International Film Festival 2023. Jazmin graduated from the University Of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film and digital media. Jazmin's style is very personal as she writes and directs all her films. They often have glimmers of truths from her real life and have a vulnerable element to them. Jazmin's 2022 documentary, Judy, was a character study of her grandmother. Judy Premired at The Rio Grande Theater in February 2024 as part of The Wrap program. You're My Best Friend was the official selection for the Santa Fe International Film Festival and the LA Independent Shorts Awards. YMBF won gold for Best Female Student Director and silver for Best LGBT Short Film.
