An injured stranger comes to a peasant family that lives in isolation, announcing that he can help them find water, as a drought threatens them.

After the death of her younger daughter, Carmen is incapable of confronting her loss, still living with her ghost. Through the Spanish dance, she will be passing through the mourning with her eldest daughter.

It is the story of a moneyless middle-aged magician whose life takes an unexpected turn when a little girl who seems to have supernatural abilities, truly "magical" powers, begins to appear frequently in his garden, causing him to rethink his profession, his vision of magic and, ultimately, his life.
