Mullah suggests that for Rashid and Noor to be a couple, the Koran has a way out and it is called Nikah Halaala: where a woman, after being divorced by triple talaq, marries another man, consummates the marriage, divorces again to remarry her ex-husband. Although Noor tearfully navigates this slippery slope to return to her husband and children, society at large has other plans.
