Because in complicated times you shouldn't make things more difficult than they are. Derks feels like going wild again, with stories, jokes, music - and who knows what else will emerge.

Do we really need to explain this? The year is (almost) over, the country is yearning for redemption—for someone who can masterfully put all events into perspective, dish out sharp jokes and serve an excellent oliebol in between. But hey, Pieter Derks is still there.
