Biography
Arlo Jhan Bayot is an animation graduate and filmmaker based in Manila, Philippines. Arlo started his creative journey since he was a little child and still continues to reinvent his craftsmanship to this day. He shares his creative mind through illustrations and animated stories under a pseudonym named Frivo. He directed the short animated film, Dati, also called “Before” in 2022, which was his student graduate film he worked on during the pandemic. His first film won several accolades like Audience Award and Third Place in the Animation category in different countries representing the Philippines. He aspires to create more poignant and thought-provoking visuals that could resonate to other people.

A young Bisaya farmer girl needs to keep her family together despite the sudden disappearance of her father. There she is tempted to leave her burdens and instead live a life of wealth and abundance in Biringan city, but there is one condition; That she eats the black rice which the mysterious elves served her.
