Roman Gai

A mafia caper comedy set in early post-Soviet Ukraine about a woman who disguises herself as a man to join a ruthless Odesa drug ring, not realizing there is a hapless guy who looks exactly like her trying to make small-time money selling household goods on the Odesa black market, inciting a series of wacky mix-ups.

The Odessa "mafia man" fakes suicide to escape from the police and flees abroad under the guise of his own widow. But on the ship on which he is fleeing, very unexpected meetings and acquaintances await him.
