Javier is ready to give important news to Carlos, his best friend and roommate. Carlos, on the other hand, gets home excited to see the brightest moon of the year. When they realize they are trapped inside the apartment, both find complications in achieving their objective.

Oswaldo and Biaani's friendship got distant after she became a Muxe-who are considered a third gender in Zapotec culture. When Oswaldo comes to her asking for help poaching turtle nests for extra income, their old friendship is rekindled.
