Biography
Alina Labour (Santo Domingo, DR), Musician and independent filmmaker. Her musical work has been recognized by Pitchfork, Crack Magazine, Remezcla and several other music magazines and platforms. Her filmmaking career has been inspired by the works of Man Ray, Věra Chytilová, Maya Deren and David Lynch. She recently graduated from film school and during this course she created several experimental short films.

Due to the lack of memories of Samuel's childhood, an obsession was born to generate a film archive of short scenes, portraits of his loved ones and poetry in the city of Santo Domingo.

A lonely and broken man constantly searches his noisy mind for answers as he struggles to find courage and relief in the woods... This film is inspired by the poem “Caminos delmirro / Path of the mirrow” by Alejandra Pizarnik.
Neither forest nor oblivion

Blue Sunshine is a meditation on grief. Through dreamlike images and fictional scenarios, the director dialogues with her past and present, reflecting on the loss of her mother, the complex relationship with her father and the thought of her own farewell.
