The scene is set in Kashmir, in the northernmost part of India, where the great Indus River meanders.Kamala, the granddaughter of Maharaja Chandra Kumar, the powerful viceroy of Benares, and who is promised to become the chief lady-in-waiting of the daughter of Goyar, the Grand Duke of Delhi, falls in love with Cavalry Captain Rachman, who hails from a farmer’s household. Her amour with the captain, however, is strongly opposed to by her grandfather and grandmother and aunts, on the grounds that the young lovers are too vastly separated in their respective social position.

In a parallel world where aliens crept into Dejima Nagasaki along with the foreigners. Recently, in Edo Town such rumors are circulating and seem plausible. In the Bakufu where war is looming, the Tenmonkata Office is the most knowledgeable of the cosmos, and Kageyasu has been ordered to infiltrate. Kageyasu has been working as a spy for the Edo shogunate who has experience with unknown cultures from his work on the expedition to Karafuto. He sets out for Kyushu, where an astonishing sight awaits. All of Nagasaki has been transformed into a strange, futuristic city. He meets a woman named Taki in Dejima, and with her cooperation begins to investigate the puzzle of the true origin of the Westerner who has brought such futuristic technology: Philipp Franz von Siebold. Who is an alien, and who isn't? What is real, and what isn't? Kageyasu is caught up in a space opera both micro and macro in this Digital Magical Musical; a staging of a parallel world Dejima with a touch of comedy.

Black Jack: A Lucky Bet is an original script based on one of Osamu Tezuka's masterpieces, "Black Jack". It was first performed in 1994 by the Flower Troupe led by Anju Mira to great acclaim. In November 2022, at the start of the 50th anniversary year of the "Black Jack" series, it was performed again in a nationwide tour by the Moon Troupe. Kanato Tsukishiro plays the role of Black Jack, an unlicensed surgeon with divine skill, dramatically expressing the message of Tezuka's works, such as the deep love for humanity and the preciousness of life.
