Jean, a young French hooligan, is sent on a forced vacation to his grandfather Evald, who lives in the Slovenian countryside. Despite Evald's warm welcome, Jean remains quite withdrawn, speaks only French with his grandfather, and coldly rejects his lifestyle, which is mainly devoted to tending the orchard and selling apples on the local road. While they struggle to get used to life together, frost is slowly approaching Evald's orchard.

A story about parting ways, accompanied by the decomposition of a burning tree. Discussing jigsaw puzzles, we explore two opposing views trying to reconcile despite their differences.

Actors Nina and Alen rehearse a seduction scene between Elmira and Tartuffe. As they struggle with the performance, the director and the professor intervene. When that doesn't work, the professor steps onto the stage. The rehearsal takes an unexpected turn with an uncomfortable confrontation between Nina and the professor.

On New Year's Eve, Tin – a dreamy, sensitive young man – and his flatmates face an angry neighbour who lives with his wife in the apartment below them. The party fades and the song is sung. Through thin walls and even thinner silence, lives intertwine – without words.
