Biography

Brunna Arrais is 27 years old, and has s degree in Filmmaking at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB). She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Communication (PPGCOM-UFRB). Her main area of academic research focuses on the horror film genre and its interconnections with cultural and gender studies. In her practical field, she works as an audiovisual curator, screenwriter, assistant director, director, and logger. As part of her university outreach, she participates in the VISU (Narratives and Visualities of the Scene) research group, where she develops studies on image. She also participated in the UFRB Dramaturgy Laboratory (LABDRAMA) and wrote film reviews and coverage of exhibitions for the online magazine Cine Cachoeira.
