The film traces the life of Çakırcalı Mehmet Efe, a Zeybek (active as an outlaw in the region enclosing İzmir, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla and Antalya in modern western Turkey, from 1893 to 1910) whose father, Çakırcalı Koca Ahmet Efe was murdered by an Ottoman sergeant.
Ayhan falls in love with Hulusi Bey's daughter, Ayten. However, Hulusi Bey does not want to give his daughter to Ayhan. So Ayhan kidnaps Ayten and they get married. A short time later, they have a daughter named Oya. Unfortunately, Ayten dies during childbirth. Blaming Ayhan for his granddaughter's death, Hulusi Bey will try to take custody of his granddaughter.
