Biography
Mauricio Cruz Fortunato is a film and television director. He studied Film Structure and the Art of Cinematography at New York University and Film and Photography Direction at the Corporación Universitaria Unitec, among other programs. In December 2024, he is set to premiere his film La pena máxima 2, produced by Dago García Producciones with the support of Caracol Televisión. His extensive experience in television includes directing series and telenovelas such as Te voy a enseñar a querer, Pasión de gavilanes, Tres caínes, El clon, Bella Calamidades, Doña Bárbara, La traición, El zorro, la espada y la rosa, La tormenta, La bandida, and El último dragón. In recent years, he has worked on Betty la fea: la historia continúa, Manes (season 1), Te la dedico, and Café con aroma de mujer.
