Naanu, who always speaks the truth, is married to Swathi. However, he is soon pursued by Rathi and is forced to accept her love but finds it difficult to let go of his obsession with Keerthi.

Though a young man marries the woman of his choice, and he is happy for a while, he soon starts facing marital issues. He realises the true meaning of marriage only after his wife leaves him.

Despite her brother Chirte Gowda's warning, Rupa, a city-bred woman, falls in love with a young villager, Gopal and leaves home for him. Soon, Chirte Gowda decides to ruin Gopal's life.
