Samuela despairs of her lack of breakthrough as an author. When she is abandoned by her boyfriend, she secretly travels with her brother to the family holiday home in Lanzarote, where she wants to work on her novel. But instead of the peace she hoped for, she finds her father there, who occupies the house after the divorce. When her mother also shows up, the chaos is perfect.

In three forms, we see a young woman trying to accept the present. Each experiences a different facet of loss. The first is planning her mother's funeral, the second is dealing with her brother and the death of their shared father, and the third is trying to move on to a new life. While the protagonists have to decide which garment to wear at the cremation, how to address their brother after years of distance, or what technique to use to cut spare ribs, they move through their worlds with sometimes more, sometimes less humor. And again and again the question arises whether pain can be shared.

At the end of an apartment party, Lisa overhears that Matze´s girlfriend from his long distance relationship is about to move to here. As Lisa and Matze go get some pizza from the late night kiosk, she drunk tries to renew their mutual „chillies-pizza-ritual“. But Matze seems to be in a completely different mood at 3 o´clock at night – until they end up in a bar close to closing time… A movie about toxic infatuation, self-worth and long distance relationships
