Ten-year-old Palkó has just moved home to Budapest from Berlin and observes the daily life of an ordinary Hungarian elementary school with confused amazement. Juci, the young teacher just started working there. She is the only one who understands Palkó, as in their own way, they are both suffering from the same, sometimes grotesque educational system.

Telefon-Saudade is an intimate short drama about an elderly woman mourning her lost son, who finds unexpected comfort in conversations with a phone scammer posing as her grandchild. As her daughter struggles to understand this fragile emotional coping mechanism, the film reveals the quiet depths of loneliness and the complex dynamics of love, grief, and letting go. Through everyday spaces and quiet moments, Telefon-Saudade explores the need to be heard—and the illusions we cling to in search of connection.

In the city of Budapest, immerse in a conservative moment and colored by immigrant lives, Zsófia, a young Hungarian woman, and Luiza, a Brazilian student, build a safe place of love and connection.

A couple of two middle-aged women and the stuffy atmosphere of a little Hungarian town – will it end in a witch-hunt? A painter moves in with her partner, an art teacher. The rumors spread fast, the local public opinion boils and the librarian plans a reading from a famous children’s story book “A Fairytale for Everyone”, where Cinderella is Romany, while the Snow Queen is a lesbian. This story is based on true events – its scenario was written by local society members and life itself. Local people also decided to play in the movie along with professional actors.
