Hudud Shaqiqa is a 2013 Syrian-Lebanese political comedy set in two neighbouring villages — Umm Al-Nour and Umm Al-Nar — straddling the Syrian-Lebanese border. Through sharp satire and situational humor, the series explores the social, economic, and religious tensions shaped by political borders, while taking pointed jabs at power, manipulation, and the absurdities of Arab political life. Starring the beloved Syrian comedian Bassem Yakhour.

The story follows Abu Jad who encounters the woman Nahla, who suffers from her husband's injustice after he joins the Muslim Brotherhood at the time, as she refuses to be a witness to the crimes he commits. Abu Jad clashes with him because of their different mindsets.

The film revolves around the subject of Syrian-Lebanese relations, starting from the period of the Syrian military presence in Lebanon, and up until after the Syrian army left, through a love story between a Lebanese woman who came to Damascus to work as a bank manager, and a young Syrian man who works as a communications manager there. The story between them begins with tension, but it quickly turns into a love story, although the tension between them does not completely disappear with falling in love, as the two characters are still living in the past.
