Biography
Charlie Capp has been directing and editing videos since a young age. His work has been shaped through the Gen-Z cultural adoption of the internet and a societal shift to a digital space. His work sews together various textures and genres from all spaces. His first solo project was titled 'Angeline' a short documentary about his neighbor and the existential realities of climate change. He went on to shoot various narrative shorts such as 'Mi Mejor Amigo', 'Deserted' and 'The Virus', all of which have had their shine in smaller film festivals. Most recently, his short film, 'El Perro Chileno' (2023) won the Quarter Finalist award at 'SWIFF' Film Festival. His new unreleased film, 'Death of a Slut' (2024) explores his experience with Queer trauma and the process of healing.
