Biography
Atena Karimpour, born on July 6th 2006, is an Iranian filmmaker and a theater student. She has participated in production of several short films, mostly as set decorator and costume designer. Paper Plane is her first short film which she co-directed. She is now a film student and a part of IYCS (Iranian Youth Cinema Society) workshop.

A seven-year-old boy eagerly awaits the football shoes his father promised to bring him from abroad. But when he opens the suitcase, he finds an unrelated pair of men’s shoes instead. The boy’s innocent attempts to turn those shoes into the football boots he had dreamed of lead him into a series of bittersweet and humorous adventures.
