A dramatic musical written by Shibata Yukihiro, based on the full-length novel by literary master Stendahl.

This musical play is based on the first act of Goethe's Faust. The angel Mephistopheles is condemned to fall from heaven after committing a sin. He is told that he can only return to heaven if he can bring a human being on the path of salvation. Mephistopheles refuses, believing that man is inherently evil. Vowing to drag a human down to hell along with him, he descends onto Earth and sets his sights on a man named Faust, an aged professor with no will to live.

The story of an agonizing love suffered by an English officer who has infiltrated into the lower parts of German-occupied Paris for the sake of the Resistance.

Setting stage at 1930s London, William (Bill) is a young man brought up in the villages and the next heir to the Earldom of Hareford. This is the story of how Bill grew as a proper gentleman, and the romantic comedy masterpiece between him and his lover, Sally.
