Bulan, the wife of a fisherman named Lallo, who lives by the Galesong coast with her mother-in-law, Daeng Ngiji, waiting for her husband’s return from the sea. While enduring loneliness and the burden of being a fisherman’s wife, Bulan forms a forbidden emotional connection with Aldebaran, the young son of her husband’s superior. As gossip and tension rise within the coastal community, Bulan’s inner turmoil pushes her toward rebellion against her fate.

Welle’ Ricina (Indah Amalia) escapes from the spirit realm’s palace and hides deep within the forest, fleeing from her husband, Sawerigading. During which she encounters Kahar Muzakkar (Alif Anggara), an Islamic freedom fighter who has just been killed in battle. A forbidden love blossoms between them, but their differing views on faith stand as an unbridgeable divide.
