Chandanada Gombe is a simple love story. Anant Nag is a landlord. Lakshmi's father is a school teacher who is struggling to find a bridegroom for Lakshmi. They get married with the help of relatives. Anant Nag unfortunately dies in an accident. The rest of the story continues about the life of a struggling widow and her child in a traditional society amid village politics.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Vani. Ravichandran, son of the film producer Veerasamy, appeared in the film as a child artist. The film swept 5 awards at the 1970-71 Karnataka State Film Awards including the best film, best actor, and best editor categories.

While Chitarangada alerts Arjuna to shoot an arrow at their son and take advantage of Babhruvahana’s momentary lapse due to a sense of devotion towards them (as Arjuna did with Karna), Uluci, the Naga princess and yet another abandoned wife of Arjuna’s, reminds Babhruvahana of the teaching of the Kurukshetra battle that in the battlefield there is no space for feelings even towards parents. What Babhruvahana must do is to establish his mother’s good name and thereby his own character. This film captures this conflict spectacularly. The eerie parallels with the moral dilemmas of the great Mahabharata battle aside, here all the familial relationships (in particular, strong mothers and dutiful sons) become exaggerated and demand our attention.

Nakkare Ade Swarga is a 1967 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by M. R. Vittal and produced by Srikanth Nahatha and Srikanth Patel. The film stars Narasimharaju, along with Jayanthi, Shailashree, Jr. Revathi and Thara. The film has a musical score by M. Ranga Rao. This film introduced singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam to the Kannada film industry.

Badavara Bandhu is a 1976 Indian Kannada language drama film directed by Vijay. It stars Rajkumar and Jayamala. The movie is also notable for the negative character played by K. S. Ashwath.The movie saw a theatrical run of 25 weeks and was declared a Blockbuster at the box office.

The movie is about a reporter who concocts a false case so as to get himself convicted for first degree murder so that he can prove that the death sentence can be given based on circumstantial evidence and that it be done away with. However, by the time he is out of the prison proving his innocence, his father is falsely arrested in another murder case and is awarded a death penalty!

He also then learns that he is in fact the son of Raja Chandravarma, the Kadamba king who was deceitfully killed by the Pallava king, Sivaskandhavarma. Upon learning of his illustrious lineage, Mayura dedicates himself to overthrow the Pallava yoke. Returning to Banavasi in the guise of a merchant Mayura builds an army and conquers both Banavasi and the Telugu speaking regions around Srishaila, thus building a vast kingdom.

Based on a novel of same name by K Puranik, which is loosely based on real life events of Appanna, a rural shehnai artist from Karnataka. Appanna, falls in love with a dancer, Basanti. But when Basanti dies, things changes a lot for Appanna.

Paropakari is a 1970 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film written and directed by Y. R. Swamy. It stars Rajkumar and Jayanthi. It revolves around the story of a self respecting young man who wins a wager with his wealthy father. The film was produced under Bhagavathi Productions. It had a very successful soundtrack composed by Upendra Kumar.
