Chumi is the janitor of the summery Apartamentos Paradiso. He has turned metal detecting into a magical illusion that helps him endure his day to day life. Last days of summer he needs to find something worthwhile.

In a corner of a border town in the Lleida plains, there once stood a pub called Plató 3. Years after its closure, a group of young people decides to meet in an old fruit cooperative to rehearse a play about the best nights of their lives. What they do not know is that, in those nights, there were old shadows they must reunite with.

Fernando, Jaime and Juan Carlos live in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). During the 80s and 90s they visit and record with a Hi8 the daily life of their parents’ town of origin: Cardenete (Cuenca). During those years the world changes rapidly: Spain enters the EU, the Soviet bloc falls and the Olympics are held in Barcelona. But what does Cardenete have to do with all of this?
