40 years after having to marry a white man, Angie is deported and reunites with her ex, Badine. As they revisit the places buried by urbanization, they unearth the past and rekindle their love.

Presented as a documentary, the film revolves around scenes from the life of Consuelo, a 71 year-old widow, captured through the lens of her grandchild for what she claims to be a school project. The two women speak and interact as they work together to make the film. Along the way, they reveal to one another the small desperate ways they hold onto things that have since slipped away from their grasp.

A man struggles to recollect the memories that he shared with his estranged father as he travels back to see him for the last time. In his journey, he confronts a fragmented yet important past that makes him question if he can trust his own memories.

Coming back home after thirteen years, a 16 year old is forced to remember what little she knows of home when her mother decides to run away. In a grueling road trip with her estranged grandmother, in a place that she has long forgotten, she soon realizes that she isn't the only one looking for a mother.
