Two brothers, who have not seen each other for a long time, meet again at their mother's grave. The opportunity for their re-connection is threatened by the emerging ghosts of the past.

When an earthquake destroys his own village, the elderly Lao becomes lonely and and confused. Compelled to move into temporary accommodation, he is soon suffering from a deep sense of loss reminiscing of his beloved possessions lost under the debris of his house.
