Magnús Magnússon´s captivating footage gives viewers the opportunity to experience Icelandic nature in a unique way. The film portrays the lives of two gyr falcon couples in the North of Iceland. The viewer follows their struggle to raise chicks under harsh conditions. In the Realm of the Gyr Falcon is fascinating cinema for all those interested in birds and Icelandic nature.

Among the species illustrated are Fulmar, Gannet, Cormorant, Shag, Kittiwake, Common Guillemot (or Murre), Brunnich's Guillemot, Razorbill and Puffin. Several other bird species, as well as marine mammals, are also featured.

Running with the Herd is a unique and beautiful film. Director Thorfinnur Gudnason and his team bring to life a dramatic tale with sharply defined characters – all of them horses. Stretching the limits of the nature documentary has been Gudnason´s forte and his earlier film, Woodmouse: Life of the Run, has been shown around the world. Here he takes us into the world of horses running wild in the stark but majestic highlands of Iceland. Without humanising the animals in any way, the film tells a story full of drama and emotion, character, danger, and resolve.

Mývatn, which literally means the lake of midges, is in an active volcanic area at the edge of the interior desert of Northern Iceland. The shallow lake supports a wealth of fish and waterfowl, including some species of birds that are rarely seen elsewhere in Europe. The film follows the birds of this unique marshland through the year.
