Set in 1950s Calcutta against the partition of India, the plot follows two rival factions born out of the divided leadership of the radical IPTA theater movement. Amidst their intense creative differences, a romance develops between two uprooted refugees, Bhrigu and Anusuya.

Depicted on the backdrop of 1651 when the emperor was Shahjahan and the subadar of Bengal was Shajada Suja. Amidst the conspiracies of the royalty, a young man decides to expose the schemes and reunite with his lover after the Nasimpur territory of Bengal gets occupied by a Mughal prince.

Priyoranjan and Ratnakar are close friends, almost like brothers, until Priyo marries Chirosree against their parents' wishes. Though they start their family in poverty, Ratnakar is always there to help. However, as Chirosree and Ratnakar grow closer, Priyo becomes jealous, leading to conflict. Priyo's life spirals as he lands in jail, while Chirosree, with Ratnakar's support, starts a successful cosmetics business. After being released, Priyo reunites with his wife and son, and with Ratnakar's help, the family is brought back together, ending the film on a happy note.

‘Joradighir Choudhury Paribar’ is the story of landlords, their ego, love and revenge. Despite ancestral differences, the Choudhury family’s landlord and Indrani, the landlady of Raktadaha decide to get married. But circumstances for him to marry Banamala to save her from Parantap Roy. Roy marries Indrani to take revenge against Jora Dighi. Misunderstanding turns lovers into enemies leading to their fatal end.

Ramakanta is a businessman whose wife Lata dies under mysterious circumstances. Lata had adopted Rita, the daughter of Mamata, as she was childless. Lata writes a letter to Mamata before her death and Mamata comes to probe her death and prove that Ramakanta was behind it. Tapas Roy, an investigative officer joins Ramakanta’s office. Police are suspicious that Ramakanta deals in drugs. Ramakanta owns a deserted fort that is haunted and a mysterious woman figure is seen roaming there and singing. Mamata reaches Ramakanta’s town with her other daughter Sarama, Rita’s twin. Several twists and turns reveal that Ramakanta killed Lata and carried illegal business from the deserted mansion. Sarama gets killed by Ramakanta. But the police finally managed to catch him.
