Ramaswamy (Jayaram) and Veni (Parvathy) are very close brahmin siblings who lost their parents in their childhood. They live under the protection of Devan (Nedumudi Venu) in a tourist town near Trivandrum. They have an extensive friends circle which includes the feisty Fifi (Urvashi), her brother Tito (Ashokan), Suku (Jagathy) and Sajan (Sreenath). Veni and Tito fall in love much to the displeasure of Ramaswamy because of their religious differences.

Karthik and Shakthi marry against the wishes of their families and start their new life. However, they soon realize that marriage is not the bed of roses they had imagined it would be.

Police-Ravi is a student aspiring to become a police officer,becomes hunted when he helps his friend out of trouble.The hunted becomes the Hunter to secure his future.

Teenagers Kannan (Sangeeth) and Radhika (Sonia Nair) are cousins and childhood playmates. They meet again at their ancestral family house in the village during the holiday season. Kannan develops feelings for Radhika; but she is conflicted on how to act on the approaches by him.

Vinod/Vinu (played by Mohanlal) is mentally ill and is hospitalized in the institution run by Dr. Ravindran ( M G Soman). Story progresses as Vinod recovers with the help of Dr. Savithri, Dr. Ravindran's daughter (Karthika) and Dr. Unnikrishnan (Nedumudi Venu) who finds that Vinu fell ill after the accidental death of his fiancée Anitha (Lizy). Later Vinu and Savithri fall in love but Savithri is already engaged to be married to her cousin, Hari(Mukesh). Plot progresses as Dr. Ravindran opposes the romance between the doctor and the recovered patient.

The comedy film deals with the small family of Unnithan & Ammini Kutty and their two daughters Parvathi and Sarala. Unnithan (Nazir) is a quiet frugal person while Ammini (Lekshmi) is more flamboyant and excessively proud of her family background. This leads to interesting and humorous situations which is the crux of the movie.

Petty thief Gopi steals a chain, and in order to escape a police inspector, drops it in Veena's bag. Later, he tries to take it from her, but the chain is no longer there. He becomes a part of her plan to stop her boyfriend from marrying a rich tycoon’s daughter

Sakthivel (R. Sarath Kumar) is the leader of his village and is adored by the people. His only brother is Selvam (Vikram) who, after completing his education in Singapore, returns to the hamlet. Both Sakthivel and his wife Lakshmi (Khushboo) are very fond of Selvam and want him to get married and live happily. Selvam is keen on marrying a girl he has seen in his dream. Sakthivel is prepared to go anywhere to find the girl. Selvam actually comes across the photograph of his dream girl Devayani (Devayani) in a TV advertisement and discovers that she is an actress . A film crew lands in the village for shooting, and Devayani, as she is called in the film too, is in the group. Sakthivel approaches her with his brother's proposal, but she insults him.

Nandini is an illegitimate child who comes to Ooty in search of her father. She meets Joji, a tourist guide, and pretends to be mentally unstable in order to get shelter in his house.

Bhuvana wishes to sell his land to clear his debts. However, his life takes a turn for the worse when he finds himself caught in the power battle between two landlords.

A young woman is dumped by her boyfriend just before the wedding as she will not be inheriting any wealth from her father. When the girl's father pays her a visit, she hires a man to act like her husband.

Jayakrishnan falls in love with two girls, Radha (a villager) and Clara (a sex-worker), and fights his confusion about whom he should marry and spend his life with.

Gopan, Kora, and Bhakthavalsan are three college students who share same house along with Prem, another classmate. While the trio is more interested in loafing their time by flirting with girls, Prem is more serious in his attitude towards life. On a usual encounter, the trio meets Major Nair, a retired man in his fifties, who but loves romancing young girls. After a series of ego clashes, Nair learns that the trio is trying to woo his daughter Minu. Nair, enraged, challenges them to make his daughter fall for them.

Madhavan is a petty thief who is accused of stealing the idol of the village goddess. However, he soon escapes police custody and tries to find the real culprit.

Mammootty plays the role of a burglar who is known by different names in different places.He is a kind person and uses the money burgled to help poor and orphans. During one of his burglaries, he happens to witness a murder for which a police officer named Shekharan is falsely accused. He helps Shekharan to prove his innocence.

Vasu falls in love with Keerthi, but when he expresses his feelings to her, she turns him down and says that her marriage has already been arranged. He later learns that she is set to marry his close friend Cheenu.

Karthikeyan, a liquor baron, sets out to take back his ancestral house which was usurped by Shekharan. To seek revenge, Karthikeyan abducts Shekharan's daughter and ends up falling in love with her.
