Biography
Rachelle Younie is a writer, director, and producer drawn to stories about loss, grief, and mental health. Her work explores complex emotional landscapes through a grounded, often darkly comedic lens. She has written, directed, and produced two short films that have screened at Canadian film festivals. In 2023, Rachelle was selected for the Vancouver International Film Festival Catalyst Program, an accelerator for emerging filmmakers. Her debut feature screenplay, Assistance in Dying, has been recognized as a finalist and semi-finalist in two international competitions and received development funding from Creative BC.
