Biography
Shaila Rahman Tithi is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, writer, poet, and publisher. She holds a master’s degree in Political Science and began her creative journey through writing, producing poetry, rhymes, stories, and novels since 2010. Her deep passion for cinema led her to filmmaking, where she has directed critically acclaimed films such as Victorious Teenage War Hero (Juddho Joyer Kishore Nayak) and Joy Bangla. Her contributions to cinema have been widely recognized, earning her the Best Women Filmmaker Award at the Accolade Global Film Competition 2022 (USA), the Best Short Film Award (Story & Production) at Obarito Bangla Cholocitro Utshab 2024 (Bangladesh), and the Best National Film Award at the Bogra International Film Festival 2022 (Bangladesh) for Juddho Joyer Kishore Nayak. Currently working on multiple projects, Shaila Rahman Tithi continues to explore the power of storytelling through film. She also serves as the Associate Editor of Zahir Raihan Film Institute, contributing to the growth of Bangladesh’s film industry.

Set during the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, this film follows a teenage boy who is a helper in a Pakistani military outpost but secretly works for the freedom fighters. One day, he receives a dangerous mission—to steal a box of ammunition from the outpost and deliver it to the Mukti Bahini (Liberation Forces).
