A quiet Sunday afternoon in the aristocratic, family home, just before the fall of the Austro-Hungarian empire. Andras and his daughter Zsofia are caught by surprise when Andras’ brother Zoltan intrudes in the intimacy of their home, along with his big family. A poetic, dark, and somewhat humorous social observation, in which family ties and relationships are broken down and dissected to pieces.

An animation triptych that evokes the atmosphere of old Dutch paintings, where sisters are trapped in melancholy, facing the loss and emptiness over the missing one.

A fox hunter and a porcelain shopkeeper lady, the scientist brothers, a seal, a boy and a music box. Six characters in their rooms filled with traces of longing, separated by a vast and bleak landscape. Four stories on love, contemplation and (self)destruction.

Inside a fragmented miniature space of a diorama, this space appears as a compact and idyllic whole with a breath of warmth and coziness of a sunshine-flooded home. However, in reality, this is a cluster of small, broken, dissected walls and facades alike those that the artist uses in her animated puppet films. Besides highlighting the indexicality of the filmic space, this work reflects on the idea that home (for this author) is not a fixed place and a stronghold, but an illusionistic hideaway, where the fragmented space of the miniature holds such attributes as a fragile feeling of security.

A woman and a man, who's lives are shaped by everyday monotony and fear of changes, would match and perfectly fulfill each other, if they would only get to meet. Once, this was almost about to happen.
