Tatort is a long-running German/Austrian/Swiss, crime television series set in various parts of these countries. The show is broadcast on the channels of ARD in Germany, ORF in Austria and SF1 in Switzerland.

Polizeiruf 110 is a long-running German language detective television series. The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.

At his son Konstantin's parents' evening, Philipp Gressmann meets Dolores Sturm - reluctantly, as he emphasizes several times. The woman is completely out of his league. He is horrified that their sons are supposed to be friends and that his ex-wife even approves of this. On leaving school, Dolores follows in his footsteps in order to escape two very shady characters, Taci and Ali. A turbulent journey through the night begins, in which these very different worlds meet. Gressmann experiences things he would never have dreamed of and has experiences he would rather have done without. His world, so finely ordered, begins to show considerable cracks. To his own surprise, Dr. Gressmann, who is otherwise so detached and coolly calculating, suddenly shows emotion.

Jan Hinrichs is an experienced ship and salvage inspector. After the bankruptcy of his last employer, however, he is not above working as a simple diver. The widower has two children to support and soon a third eater is on board, as his daughter Lena is pregnant. The only problem is that Hinrichs is 55 and, in the eyes of the shipowners, too old for this job that requires bones and fitness. And so he pretends to be 10 years younger at a job interview. He falsifies his diving book and gets himself a fake passport. The world wants to be deceived. Now things are suddenly working out: Hinrichs does his job, he does it well and his boss is happy with him - for the time being.

It's Felix birthday and his parents are at the door. Felix escapes through the backdoor and celebrates his special day like he wants: as a techno DJ in a dance club. One of his installed special effects is scaring the visitors that much, that they panic, leaving the club in a rush. The owner of the club gives Felix one more chance to pay back for the damage. Felix shall be the tour manager for Leon Rippy, a formerly well-known country musician. This might not be an easy task in times where country music seems to be kind of an antique thing. However Felix accepts the deal and an adventurous on-the-road experience throughout Germany begins.
