Follow a new generation of the Dutton family during the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.
In the late 1980s, the University of the North in Limpopo is militarily occupied by the Apartheid government. As soldiers patrol lecture halls, raid residences and suppress political activity, students are drawn into underground resistance movements to fight for their education.
