Christian Thielemann conducts "Walküre", the second part of the "Ring des Nibelungen", at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Having paid the giants for building Valhalla with the ring stolen from Alberich, Wotan is determined to get it back. For if he fell into Alberich's hands again, the fate of the gods would be sealed. But since he himself, as the father of the gods, is not allowed to break contracts, his children Siegmund and Sieglinde are to take care of that...

In the spring of 2024, the Berliner Philharmoniker, under the direction of their chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, presented a staged production of Richard Strauss’s thrilling and dark opera Elektra – the highlight of the Baden-Baden Easter Festival. The title role was sung by the acclaimed soprano Nina Stemme. Philipp Stölzl, who has caused a sensation with his spectacular productions on the lake stage at the Bregenz Festival, was the director and set designer.

“A timeless hero: Robin Hood” is a musical commissioned by the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari and staged in 2023. Designed for a wide audience, including children and young people, it combines elements of musical theater and opera, recounting the adventures of Robin Hood with music by Michele dall'Ongaro and libretto by Vincenzo De Vico.
