At Theater tonight is a TV show broadcasted from 25th August 1966 to 21st September 1985. The show is broadcast plays recorded in two or three days, during public performances at the Théâtre Marigny on the Champs-Élysées, or sometimes Edouard VII theater.

This loosely plotted coming-of-age tale follows the life of 15-year-old Laurent Chevalier as he stumbles his way over the burgeoning swell of adolescence in 1950s France. After having his first sexual experience with a prostitute and dodging the lips of a priest, Chevalier contracts a case of scarlet fever. When the fever leaves him with a heart murmur, Chevalier is placed in a sanatorium, along with his over-attentive and adulterous mother.

Victor Vautier is incorrigible: he's in constant motion, working several cons at once, using different names and changing disguises. He's charming and outrageous, incapable of uttering a sentence that isn't embellished or an outright lie. His life goal is to make enough money to build a sea wall to protect Mont-Saint-Michel. Charlotte, a parole officer, shows up: she's young and seems taken in by Victor. He discovers she lives above the Senlus Museum, where her parents are the curators. With two pals he decides to steal a priceless El Greco triptych and then ransom it back to the cultural ministry. What will Charlotte do when she realizes he's used her to make a fortune?

After reading a book of erotic poems by Guillaume Appollinaire of the World War I era, he finds himself inside the adventures of the book, which are largely of an erotic nature. When he awakens the next morning, he is inspired to order his life in a more satisfactory manner.

A U.S. Treasury Department agent is sent to Morocco to find a fortune in counterfeit money hidden by the Nazis during World War II. The agent escapes from prison with the only man who knows the location of the bogus bills. The duo is shadowed by a group of former Nazi soldiers who hope they will lead them to recover the lost loot. The feature plays as a crime drama with overtones of international espionage.

From his locksmith's shop, a simple guy dreams of becoming a crime boss, at the wheel of his Cadillac surrounded by blonde bimbos. He starts small, assassinating petty criminals. Gaining renown in the newspapers as "Le Furet" (The Ferret), he soon sets his sights higher. The police and organized crime both take up the chase.

Backstage at a Paris theater, a famous, exasperatingly fatuous playwright learns that the actress who was to play the lead in his play is expecting a child. No great actress is available to take on the role. Except the famous actress Gabrielle Tristan, to whom he was married for ten years and to whom he no longer speaks. But their love of theater and their playfulness outweigh all their grudges, and Gabrielle takes on her ex-husband's play.

There are small problems everywhere, including in a Paris area bourgeois housing development. In this particular building, a motley crew tries to resolve shared co-ownership problems. Among them, a Foreign Legion colonel and his dog; an unfaithful gynecologist and his fiery nurse; a voyeuristic filmmaker and his editor in love; a Don Juan-type antique dealer; an adorable old lady and her nice son who turns into a drag queen at night; an FIFG interviewer; an unbearable opera singer; a lesbian; a deceived woman.

In an undetermined time and place, where civil war is raging, two young girls, Agnès fanatic of revolutionary ideology and soft and carefree Pop, weather the storm by constantly opposing each other...
