During the Highland Clearances, a stubborn old tenant farmer and a young Waterloo veteran strike up a reluctant and uneasy bond in a relentless search through highlands; glimpsing the human cost of the clearances as they go.

In 1926 a group of weary men and a priest had to carry a coffin along the dreadful Coffin Walk to lay the departed to rest. Along the road they find out they picked up the wrong body and make a few bad decisions thereafter.

Ronnie is a recluse haunted by his past transgressions. Living day to day Ronnie is stuck on repeat until he decides to make a phone call.
