Jack Newman has finally adapted to the challenges of a sudden accident that left him blind several years ago and is preparing for a new life with his fiancée, Gwen. An opportunity arises for Jack to become the first patient of an experimental eye surgery. After regaining his sight, Jack begins to slowly take on the characteristics of the eyes’ late donor, a state-executed psychopath. Shot in virtually every corner of the earth and shinning an alternate light on the sport of surfing, the film shows how diverse every surfers life is, "A Day In The Life..." could be described as a tale of classic short stories. Shot on brilliant 16-mm film and video, the film has a great blend of water shots and land footage. The variety of camera angles does a great job of capturing the "Surfer's Eye" view. Unique in structure, the film shows just how different the life of every surfer can be. Metallica make a guest appearance in the film and provide music to the soundtrack. The group's guitarist, Kirk Hammett, is featured on the front cover of the DVD.

For all of its full-rotations and grim ledges towed into by James Catto, Cop It will be forever remembered for the Rusty team miming Chromeo's Needy Girl in the credits. Wearing white sailor suits. So butch!
