Biography
Haotian Liu, a young director and screenwriter, born in Northeast China and currently working in Beijing. In exploring the evolving relationship between the individual and their environment, he reflects on the alienation of humanity and remains committed to creating works rooted in his hometown. His films have been selected in Beijing International Short Film Festival, China Academy Awards of Documentary Film, Freiburg Gay Film Festival, Mix Brasil, Seoul International Pride Film Festival, etc.

A man returns to his hometown in northeast China and meets a restaurateur of the same age. They discover a deep connection with each other through the conversation. In the 1990s, some teenagers are about to get into a fight until the two run off in different directions. The relationship between social progress and personal life under the special tide gradually emerges in an ordinary dialogue.
A Winter in the Winter

In a small city in the north, the time of midsummer is very short. Two boys get to know each other by chance and agree to meet by a lake. But one of them doesn’t keep the agreement, and it begins to rain heavily.

After the COVID-19 time, the weather gradually turned cool and the octogenarian couple led a quiet life. The couple realized that there were only three people left in their generation after stumbling upon a photo. So they decided to visit their relative who lived in another city.
