Ziraldo - Era uma vez um menino... is a self-portrait of the artist. The film follows Ziraldo's trajectory by means of statements and interviews he has given over more then forty years. His life and art history in his own words, voice and emotion.

The film takes place in a small town, where the mayor decrees that almost every day is Sunday, which becomes a problem to some of it's citizens, who need city hall bureaucracy, being unable to fulfill their demands.

Marina, an upper-class girl, is dating a man in a bar located in a dangerous neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. Zeca is a black man who is making a grafitti nearby. Three mysoginous and racist policemen go there to make what police is not supposed to do.
