The action takes place in 1943 in Sofia during the bombing. Hristo is an artist trying to overcome his despair. In his studio, he meets a ghost - the spirit of Lazar.

Master Gusla dreams his offspring to inherit his musical talent. Unfortunately, his only daughter Viola is devoid of musical talent. The master hopes that at least his grandchildren will become famous musicians.

The film narrates of the love and its manifestations, which are sometimes strange and inexplicable. Maximilian tells the sick Maria about his childhood when he felt in love with a beautiful statue. The loss of it affects his whole life.

In the form of a ballad, the wandering bard Peyo tells us about the blacksmith Ferris, who decides to become a knight and thus change his fate. The encounter with Smokie the dragon will help him make deep conclusions about his own life.

The film is a study of a cultural phenomenon. In the midst of socialism - 1979 - in Bulgaria appears a magazine advocating Western influence – the comics art. “DAGA” exists for more than ten years and has a huge circulation – 300,000. This is a unique comics magazine, not only in Bulgaria but throughout the former Soviet bloc. Some of the series and the characters are still living today in the minds of the readers, shaping their personalities.

Two robots journey through a labyrinth and encounter curious characters and extraordinary objects as they reflect on their own existence.
