The wound soon becomes infected and swollen, evolving into Hand—a persistent and painful presence that grows increasingly grotesque. Deciding to ignore it, Amber fixates on the stains Justin left on the carpet over the course of their relationship. As her obsession intensifies, so does the seriousness of her infection.
