Biography
Lou Goossens, born on February 24, 2009 in rural Belgium, is a young actor recognized for his remarkable performances in cinema and television. He has a brother, Jul Goossens, who is also an actor. He began his career in 2022 with the short film Alleen Ik (Only Me, Me Alone), in which he played the role of Flor. In 2024, he landed his first leading role in the drama film Young Hearts, directed by Anthony Schatteman, where he portrays Elias, a 14-year-old teenager experiencing his first romantic emotions. That same year, he appeared in the television series Moresnet, playing the young Ben Schotz. His performance in Young Hearts was highly acclaimed by critics, earning him several awards in 2024, including a Special Mention at the New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Film Festival and the Outstanding Emerging Talent Award at FilmOut San Diego. In 2025, he was nominated for the Magritte Award for Best Promising Actor for this role.
