Ebru Şeremetli

Year 1969 - in Turkey. 60s youth were living the most excited days. There was a great effort to make a bridge in Istanbul, on the Bosphorus. Meanwhile, on the eastern border of Turkey, in a Kurdish city between the borders of Iran and Iraq that is left to its destiny, in Hakkari, Zap River was taking lives since there were no passage on it.

Survivors tell the inside story of the massacre of the leftist students at Istanbul University on 16 March 1978 and the political atmosphere before the coup of 12 September 1980.

This is the story of a dance choreography based on feelings of "unease, anxiety, uncertainty, and obscurity". It is about being stuck between the memory of migration and a misty view of the future; ...or, about the struggle of a group of dancers to collectively produce despite the prevailing "darkness". This is a story about the memories of those "moments that remain".
