Biography
Xing Meng was born in Northeast of China in 1993. In 2019 she graduated from Birmingham University with a Ph.D. She developed an obsession with cinematic art while in engineering school and started to volunteer in film crews. Participated in a number of features and short films, acted as script supervisor, assistant director and other positions. <36 Exposures> is a short film written and directed by Xing Meng, and it entered the official selection of International Usak Winged Seahorse Short Film Festival 2019, nominated for the best thriller in 2020 by Melbourne Short Film Festival and the Special Screening in 86358 Short Film Festival 2020.

Relationship-wise, she is dealing with ongoing feud between her and her boyfriend, Bandi. Her health is also a matter of concern, and the ups and downs of her flatmate's love life add another layer of complexity.

The story takes place between a young couple who is about to get married. The woman misread the size and ordered a huge wedding photo frame, which led to an interesting dispute between the two on the way to move the frame home.
