A story about how the legendary Swedish band Gyllene Tider became one of Sweden's biggest pop sensations. Per is the ambitious outsider at school, who discovers friends for life through the power of music as he finds MP, Micke, Anders and Göran. Despite hardships, the band goes on to break through in the early 80s, where their hit songs about life in a small town made them a nationwide sensation.

Per Gessle thought of this album as his little side project but it turned out to be a huge success, gaining five × platinum status in his home country. He even played some of the songs from it on the Gyllene Tider Finn 5 fel! tour in 2004, despite the fact that they were not Gyllene Tider songs.
